Election Night Control Room
Live projections and race calls for the competitive U.S. Senate and House races, county by county, as the vote comes in, and a read of the national environment from benchmark counties.
How to read the boards
- NeedlesThe bold needle is the projected final margin; the pale arc is where the result should land 8 times in 10.
- ✔ ProjectedA race is called only once the count itself has confirmed it. ⏳ Confirming means the call is close and the count is being given time to back it up.
- civicAPI columnThe call made by civicAPI's own decision desk, shown for comparison. ⚠ means it names a different winner than the board.
- Hands-freePages update by themselves every 15 seconds, with times in your time zone. Pick any race under Race detail for its counties and the vote still out.
- Benchmarks dialThe national margin the benchmark counties imply, with its 80% range; the yellow mark is where the polls (the generic ballot) expected it.
- MiragesA blue mirage means the votes counted so far read too Democratic for that county (early and mail ballots first, say); a red mirage, too Republican.
